Mirror of Fate? - potential for a Doomsday deck perhaps? I dunno, it's a little more combo-y than I really want to go.
War Oracle? - thematic, to be sure, but is it strong enough?

Oracle en-Vec is a better choice if you want an oracle. The er.. oracle text is a bit on the lengthy side, but it's actually a pretty useful card, and surprisingly flavorful considering the deck.

Lot of "Fate" cards in blue, but they're probably a little off-theme, as most of them deal with avoiding or manipulating fate.

If you go for representing fate mechanically, a suspend subtheme wouldn't hurt. That could let you run things like Curse of the Cabal, Heroes Remembered, Chronomantic Escape, and Phthisis.

This is going to be a tough one to put together.

That's the goal. Crafting a decent deck that has at least some thematic elements, a not overused commander and still plays well enough to hang with my local meta.

I like the Oracle en-Vec. I'll have to see if the LGS has one. It's bulk, but it's also old.

I feel like I should include some more ways to untap;
Sword of the Paruns
Magewright's Stone
Puppet Strings - This one for sure, since it embodies the concept of manipulating strings (threads)
Staff of Domination?
Umbral Mantle?
Thornbite Staff?

EDIT: King Macar, the Gold-cursed seems appropriate too. Who else is a doomed soul? Crovax?

EDIT 2: Maze of Ith seems worth it too.

Just Fate is the final card with 'fate' in the name which hasn't been mentioned yet, but I don't know if you're willing to potentially weaken the deck for theme.

I kinda am. That said, the chances of me finding a specific portal card are pretty slim, so it may be a moot point.

Well, at least it would be pretty cheap to order one of them online. SCG lists slightly played quality at $0.69, but then again it feels almost offensive to me that a card as unplayed as Just Fate would still warrant a price more than five cents--even if it is Portals card.

Maybe Diviner's Wand? Kinda weak draw effect, but at least it goes with your general and is somewhat flavorful.

First draft complete. I feel like I need more creatures with ETB effects to make use of the triad... stuff like
Rune-Scarred Demon
Shriekmaw
Duplicant
Nekrataal
Kor Cartographer
Knight of the White Orchid
War Priest of Thune
Sidisi, Undead Vizier

Suggestions welcome. I'm not attached to the planeswalkers, and an increase in creatures could correspond with a decrease in goodstuff boardwipes.

That's not bad. I'll keep it in mind.

Crovax is cool because you can run both versions of his fate (Hero/Evincar).

Seal of Doom, Eye of Doom, Crown of Doom, Doomed Necromancer. Also Doomed Traveler, but it's pretty bad. Doom Blade? Thraben Doomsayer? Exiled Doomsayer (decent in some playgroups, worthless in most)?

Infinite Hourglass? Scourglass? Scrying Glass? Phyrexian Etchings? Tower of Fortunes?

Liliana, Heretical Healer has a "fate" built into her mechanic. Same with Kytheon, but he'd be harder to trigger in this deck.

Good point.

The eye, crown and doomsayer look like good ideas. Going on the shortlist.

Liliana is a neat idea. I happen to have just come by one as well. The only question is whether Liliana, Defiant Necromancer fits well. You're right Kytheon wouldn't be a good fit, but at least I covered his fate somewhat with Tragic Arrogance.

Sands of Time and Reverse the Sands are fate-oriented and kind of wacky.

Reverse the Sands seems pretty hilarious. I'll have to look for one.

Changes:
-Both Sorins, Liliana, Orzhov Signet, Obzedat's Aid, In Garruk's Wake, Swamp
+False Prophet, Thraben Doomsayer, Containment Priest, Shriekmaw, Nekrataal, Eye of Doom, Barren Moor

Considering a curse subtheme - I have all the on-color curses except Curse of Death's Hold. I think they fit very well flavor-wise here, but not sure if they're worth the deck slots.
Curse of Oblivion
Curse of Thirst
Curse of Exhaustion
Curse of Shallow Graves
Curse of the Forsaken
Curse of Misfortunes

I watch this thread with interest. Triad seems like such a janky general, and perhaps, that's part of the appeal.
