Noyan Dar is easily my favorite U/W legend so far. The deck seems fairly easy to balance between casual to competitive, depending on your flavor. Thanks for the small shout out.

If you have a Spelltwine, I suggest finding one and running it. It has rocked every time I've managed to cast it. Just at GP Atlanta, turn six or seven I suppose, I was able to cast it on someone's Oona deck which had decided to Traumatize me for attacking him with a land-creature. Spelltwine targeted his Traumatize and my Talent of the Telepath, both milling him, and Talent nabbed his Tunnel Vision which I targeted him with again, naming Mind Grind. It brought him down to abound four cards or so.

I suppose I'd feel worse about doing that, if it hadn't been for a couple turns later another person at the table reanimated Iona, Shield of Emeria and locked down everyone. He finished everyone off relatively quickly. Next time I'll be nicer, I just couldn't help out-milling the mill deck.

Spelltwine... seems good. Going on the list.

All those outlast creatures really aren't worth it IMO.

I would include Sun Titan since he will recur your lands if they die. Diluvian Primordial because he's 3-4 spell triggers in one. Isochron Scepter because reasons. Vigean Graftmage can be a pseudo ramp/combo effect if you've got an animated Nykthos or whatnot.

I'm not sure about Sacred Ground. Damage will not save your lands. Only destroy effects. I would instead recommend Cauldron of Souls which will save all of your lands every wipe and they'll just start as a 2/2 instead of 3/3 next time they're animated.

Sunny T and Diluvian seem like good ideas. Pretty sure I have those lying around.

Isochron I thought about but I only have 7 cards that can potentially go on it, and of those 1 is Pact, which seems suboptimal at best, and 2 have buyback anyways, so that leaves only 4 cards that I'd actually want to put on the stick.

Cauldron is a good idea. I'm prolly keeping Sacred Ground anyways though. I'm much more worried about losing lands to spells and abilities than to combat.

It's more that half the removal spells won't trigger it. All of the red wipes and burn deal damage so it's state based actions that remove it. Similar with most of black giving it -1/-1 if they're not already too large to avoid that. I would probably run Planar Birth or Second Sunrise before it since it's more of a "Gotcha!" rather than something people know they need to play around. I suppose the choice really falls on what types of removal/wipes see play most in your group.

One caveat: Planar Birth is a Sorcery so it's pretty hard to "gotcha!" with it, but maybe Faith's Reward could work?

Man, everytime I see one of these decks it looks like a lot of fun.

Question: Is there any good "power matters" stuff you can do in W/U to take advantage of a 12+/12+ land? You know, like, uh, Greater Good. Except that's green.

Vanish into Memory for starters.

Like Segrus mentioned, I've had great success with Vanish Into Memory.

Blue has a buttload of Unblockable and White has Protections which certainly help make power matter although not directly interacting with it...

You can play Sage of Hours with Mirrorweave (or Infinite Reflections) to make a ton of extra turns.

Godhead of Awe will make your counters matter a lot more as well as be a blanket buff to your lands... >.>

Aside from those there's not a whole lot else that I can think of off the top of my head.

Hmm. And humility, too, huh? Although *I guess* your animated lands can no longer tap for mana?

Humility is a rules nightmare and removes abilities so I would pass on that. Godhead just makes everything a 1/1 which makes everything on the table smaller than your lands.

Changes:
-Venser - primary function replaced by Capsize, which is more on-theme and will draw less hate
-Aetherize - of all my cuts, this and Venser hurt the most, decided was too conditional and will just allow repeat ETB triggers
-Pact of Negation - not very ramp heavy, making the payment afterward annoying
-Uncovered Clues - kinda weak
-Relic of Progenitus - can't tutor this, unlike RIP
-Spellburst - too pricy
-Psychic Spiral - mill can be a liability
-Sacred Ground - decided to listen to advice
-Beacon of Immortality - not good enough
-Learn from the Past - not good enough
-Trait Doctoring - very much not good enough, was here only for repeatable triggers

+Capsize
+Vanish into Memory
+Teferi's Response
+Talrand, Sky Summoner
+Spelltwine
+Archaeomancer
+Mnemonic Wall
+Mystic Speculation
+Sage of Fables
+Diluvian Primordial
+View from Above

This commander is very tempting.

Three things occurred to me as possibly helpful: Oath of Lieges, Elspeth Tirel, and Sword of Feast and Famine.

Oath because the green players will always be ramping, and much of your (kinda limited) ramp is tied to mana rocks anyway. Now you can keep up a little better and you're actually generating extra threats in a weird way.

Elspeth is another (albeit slow) wrath that doesn't affect your animated lands and will clean up pesky noncreature permanents that got past your countermagic. This is less helpful if you go tall with Noyan Dar rather than wide, though, as her +2 isn't very good in that spot.

The Sword is kinda expensive if you don't have one to hand, but being able to give yourself another boost in mana as well as pseudo-vigilance to your lands seems...potent.
